When I was 10, I heard Kim Meeder speak about Crystal Peaks on a Focus on the Family radio broadcast. My mom and I were so excited and deeply touched by the stories of redemption and hope that Kim shared. That day the Lord planted a seed in my heart; that seed would one day lead to me coming to the Ranch as a short term volunteer.  I remember that first time I visited the Ranch: I was only here for four days. My friend and I were able to come on a week Crystal Peaks was having a ranch fellowship. During worship, as tears came to my eyes, I turned to my friend and said, "I feel like I belong here."

That same week, I felt the Lord leading me to come back as an intern the following year. Five months after I completed my internship I was asked to join the staff as a Session Instructor. It has been wonderful to experience Jesus putting every single piece  into place throughout my journey so far.

Horses are a passion of mine, so getting the opportunity to share my passion of horses with the kids I work with, and seeing Jesus work through the horses and our conversations, is something I am blessed to be a part of.

The more I come to know Jesus and the more I understand His redemption, forgiveness, and His desire to have a personal relationship with us, the stronger my desire grows to share Him with others. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join this incredible body of Christ in following the Spirit and loving these kids with Jesus' love.

What is something you are passionate about doing outside of Crystal Peaks?

I am passionate about spending time with my horse and learning more about horse training and psychology.

What do you like to do in your free time?

One of my favorite things to do is spend time in the mountains with friends, or just me and Jesus. I also love to read and go home and visit my family.

What is the funniest thing a kid has said to you at the Ranch?

After kissing Silas, a girl said, "Look he's blushing." I said, "I'm not sure horses can blush." She said, "I know he's blushing because he is looking away from me."
