Community Outreach Manager

Bend, OR

I grew up in Central Oregon and visited Crystal Peaks for the first time when I was 12 years old with my 4-H group. Although I didn’t fully understand it at that time, God planted a seed in my heart for the ministry during that first visit. I remember listening to Kim speak and deeply feeling the presence of the Lord as she, with incredible faith, shared stories about hope, love, and redemption. I then read Kim’s books in college and started praying about how God would like me to be involved.

After graduating from nursing school, I volunteered with a similar ministry in Washington while also working as a pediatric nurse. My passion for partnering with children and families through challenges, advocating for truth, and for sharing the message of healing through Christ grew during this time. After several years working as a nurse, God began to stir my heart and I knew I was entering a season of transition. While sharing this with a friend at a local tea shop, I saw a staff member from Crystal Peaks whom I had briefly met years before at a conference. I felt God encouraging me to speak with her and, although I wasn’t bold enough in the moment to respond to God’s prompting, we were eventually able to connect. From there, God confirmed His desire for me to step into ministry with Crystal Peaks and ultimately provided me with the exciting opportunity to join the staff.

At Crystal Peaks, I love the opportunities I have to connect with children and witness the gentle movement of the Holy Spirit as He comforts, encourages, and restores hope. Receiving the gift of trust is truly a blessing, and walking alongside people in their journey towards healing is what brings the most joy to my heart.

What do you love about Central Oregon?

Central Oregon will always feel like home to me! I am so grateful to have been raised here and that my family still calls Bend home. I love the mountains, lakes, sunshine, and active lifestyle.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, paddle-boarding, cycling, and riding—especially in the company of good friends or family. I absolutely love being an aunt and few things bring me more joy then spending quality time with my nieces and nephew. I also really enjoy relaxing with a good book, baking, and walking with my dog.

What is your favorite coffee drink?

I don’t like coffee, but I love tea! Tea lattes are my favorite, especially a black tea latte with vanilla.
