VOLUNTEER - Application Required.
It is our beautiful volunteer teams that shoulder and support our staff to serve even more children and families who come to the Ranch. Through the combined work of their hands, our volunteer teams work alongside our staff to keep the Ranch beautiful, functional and free of charge to all. Opportunities to join our volunteer teams are available year-round. For more information, click here.
REFUGE - Everyone is Welcome.
From 5:30-8:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month, the Ranch hosts Refuge. This fellowship gathering meets on the West Ranch in the Refuge Barn. Participants share a meal together followed by a time of worship and teaching from God’s Word. The message is simple, direct, and relevant to all. Our Refuge community is a family-oriented gathering that is comprised of all ages. We so love and value the opportunity that this time provides for our board, staff, interns and volunteers to fellowship with those who have come from near and far to celebrate the One who redeems.
MARCH INTO SPRING & BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES - Everyone is Welcome.
We host two large-scale Saturday volunteer opportunities each year. March into Spring helps prepare the Ranch for the new session season and Batten Down the Hatches helps prepare the Ranch for the Winter season. The event takes place from 10 am - 4 pm. Both days will include a myriad of Ranch projects that will range in skill levels and be suitable for a variety of ages. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other Ranch families, volunteers and staff members. Lunch will be provided by the Ranch. Please note: you do not need to be a current volunteer to be a part of this special day.
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE - Everyone is Welcome.
This special event is focused on celebrating the freedom our great nation enjoys and those men and women who have helped to earn and maintain that freedom. In a glittering demonstration of gratitude and thanks, Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch decorates trucks, trailers, floats, kids, horses, volunteers, parents and pups to thank and support our active military troops, veterans, and all military personnel. While driving, riding or walking the Redmond parade route, the goal of our team is to personally thank as many military personnel as they can reach and to give the gift of joy to all.
SUMMER KICK OFF & SUMMER WRAP UP PARTIES - Sign Up Required.
Our summer events are a playful opportunity for kids to be kids and for adults to be kids too. We invite people of all ages to join us in the fun and games and we encourage families to spend this time together making new memories. These events are designed to be memorable and are often accompanied with activities that will likely make the participants laugh hard, get dirty and potentially very wet—so come prepared. Please call our office to sign up.
HARVEST DAYS - Sign-Up Required.
These events are designed to equip families with valuable skills that are being lost in an ever-increasing digital society. Harvest Day participants learn how to garden, make candles, knit, sew, crochet, work with wood and leather and prepare large volume harvests such as making applesauce. Classes are an hour long and require an RSVP. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
VETERAN'S DAY PARADE - Everyone is Welcome.
Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch seeks to show support of our nation’s active military and veterans every day. This is evidenced by flying an American flag over the entrance to Independence Arena in respect and honor of the freedom they have helped to earn. To show further support, the Ranch also participates in the Bend Veteran’s Day Parade by bringing an enthusiastic team of staff, volunteers, kids, families and horses. While walking the parade route, each participant is focused on giving individual thanks to our active military and veterans. Each smile, handshake and hug is a personalized and heartfelt gift of gratitude for their service to this great nation.
