Harvest Day

Crystal Peaks' annual Harvest Day is on Thursday, October 24th from 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Harvest Day is an event that falls under our "Hope for the Family" pillar here at CPYR. This day is set aside each year to create an opportunity for kids to learn skills lost in our culture today, and to bring the whole family together for an afternoon of fun and learning.
This year we have created a new structure for Harvest Day. In order to have all families served well, we are splitting the afternoon up into two consecutive time slots. Families can sign up to come out from 1 pm - 3:30 pm OR from 4 pm - 5:30 pm. The first portion of the afternoon will include the choice of 2 classes per child and a hay ride for the whole family. The second half of the afternoon will include the choice of 1 class per child and a hay ride for the whole family.
We are offering the following classes: woodworking, sewing, leather-working, and an applesauce-making class.
This year, the woodworking and sewing classes must be taken in conjuncture with each other in order to complete one finished product. For the woodworking and sewing classes, siblings may choose to work together in each class to complete the project, or one sibling can sign up for woodworking and the other for sewing.
Classes are 50-minutes long and will be offered at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, for the first potion of the afternoon, with the family hay ride beginning at 3:00 pm. Families will then be released to leave at 3:30 pm. Classes for the second portion of the afternoon will begin at 4:00 pm and the family hay ride will begin at 5 pm. Families will then be released to leave at 5:30 pm.
Please arrive for check-in ten minutes prior to the class start time. As a reminder, classes are for kids ages 6 - 18. A craft station will be available for kids five and under throughout the afternoon, so when families call to schedule, please include the total number of kids you will be bringing with you. Water, hot cocoa, cider and popcorn will be provided throughout the afternoon.
Sign-ups begin on Thursday, October 10th at 9:00 am. There are limited spots available so be sure to sign up early! To reserve a spot, call our office at 541-330-0123 beginning on the date/time listed above.
