4th of July Parade
The 4th of July Parade is an event purposed to celebrate our troops, veterans and this great nation that we are blessed to live in.
For those who wish to take part, we will be meeting on the morning of the 4th at 9:00 a.m. in the dry lot on the corner of Dogwood and 6th in downtown Redmond. Look for our two horse trailers and a flatbed trailer with hay on it (our float). We will need lots of help decorating the float, banners, trucks, manure carts and ourselves! (Note: Please look for parking in one of the surrounding blocks, as the lot fills up quickly with horse trailers and floats.)
Come decked out in red, white and/or blue! Thrift stores are a wonderful resource for clothing items that you might need for this event. Blue jeans and a red or white shirt are perfect. Though if you have something with stars and/or stripes that's even better!
The parade begins around 10 a.m. Everyone who wishes to be in the parade will need to be on the float at that time. When the parade is finished, we will return to where the trailers are parked on Dogwood and 6th. We would love everyone who is involved to stick around for a few minutes afterwards to help us take the decorations off the float, banners, trucks and manure carts. Many hands get the job done really fast.
