Sessions

The Heart

The heart of our session program is to provide a safe place for children, families, and horses to experience the hope, healing and encouragement of Christ. Through as many unique ways as there are unique children, the purpose of each session is to support and encourage every individual toward the redeeming love of Jesus.

By inviting children and families to come as they are, the session leaders at Crystal Peaks work through a variety of activities or horses to encourage everyone toward hope.

Our leaders tailor each one-on-one session to meet the needs of each individual child. Some of the session activities offered are: working with or riding a horse, woodworking, leatherworking, arts and crafts, games, gardening, acts of service and helping others through volunteerism. Everything that happens within a session is designed to encourage healing, strength, hope, love and trust through a unique and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Scheduling Sessions

If your family is interested in receiving updates about our session program or if you have any questions, please email our Scheduling Team at [email protected].

CPYR sessions are offered from March through October. Scheduling Day occurs on the 15th of each month for the following month, regardless of Ranch closure dates. At 9:00am on Scheduling Day, we invite everyone to call in or submit our online “Schedule a Session Form” to request a session.

For example, we open scheduling for May on April 15th for May sessions at 9:00am. Our “Schedule a Session Form” will be electronically activated on our website the morning of the 15th. For those who are scheduling kids for the first time—and might desire a bit more help— please feel free to email us at [email protected], or call our office at (541) 330-0123. It is best to contact us before Scheduling Day so that we can “meet” you and answer any questions you may have.

Session Cost

By the grace of God alone, Crystal Peaks has always offered its programs completely free of charge. Day by day, year by year, decade by decade, the Ranch continues to depend on those who believe in the hope poured through this ministry and make financial donations to support the children, families and horses who come. We are deeply blessed by our incredible team of donors from around the world who have committed funds to support what the Lord is doing in and through this Ranch. Because of this provision and the faithful generosity of many individuals, no family has ever paid to participate.

First Time Schedulers

For those who are scheduling kids for the first time – and might desire a bit more help – feel free to email us at [email protected], or call our office at 541-330-0123. It is best to contact us before Scheduling Day so that we can “meet” you and answer any questions you may have in advance. You can also find more information here about scheduling.

Crystal Peaks is not a residential facility. The majority of those in our program live within driving distance to the Ranch. Although, we do serve families that travel from out of state and even out of country. Prior preparation and off-ranch housing is necessary for these long distance families to participate in our session program.

If you are a “long distance family” and would like to participate, please contact us in advance of your travel plans so we can prepare for your welcome. If coming to Central Oregon is not an option for your family, please go to our Similar Ministries Finder to locate a ranch ministry closer to your home.
