On the Road
Every few weeks the ranch has a special visitor. This guest is known to the staff and kids at the ranch as our very own "cookie grandma." When Donna, our "grandma," first came to the ranch wondering how she might contribute, she was uncertain what her role might be. Struggling with some physical issues, it was apparent that the "usual tasks" of volunteering might not be appropriate. However, Donna really wanted to help so we brainstormed a way. Finally, the thought occurred, why not bring cookies to the ranch to warm the hearts and fill the tummies of the children? Since then, Donna has visited us regularly with goodies and has extended her ‘cookie ministry' to many other organizations including the police department, fire house, and our troops abroad. Our beloved cookie grandma has gone "on the road," spreading her gift of cheer and enthusiasm. We are so happy to know that we have been able to be a small part of igniting this unique passion in Donna's heart and we are so grateful to see that God provides a way for each heart to serve.
