What a large, exciting and unknown world this is for a young mind to be cultivated in . . . it has come time for Hanalei’s training. Since her birth in May, little Hanalei has grown immensely in both stature and intelligence. She is presently only inches 
shy of her mother’s full height and we don’t believe it will take her very long to become just as muscular. She has grown so quickly that many find it hard to believe that she was born just a mere nine months ago! Her unique personality has matured just as quickly as she is already very adept at the hierarchy ‘game’ that all horses live by. She has cleverly mastered who she can boss around and who she must respectfully back down from.
Hanalei has just begun her ground training and is catching on fast. She is such a fun mixture of intelligence and sass! Everything she does is flavored with her unique flair that seems to announce she is yielding within her strong independence. Currently, Hanalei is learning to lead, to face who is working her, to back when asked, to pick up her feet and the very beginning stages of her 
round-pen work. She is proving to be very much like her mother, Hannah. Both are extremely confident, love affection and people, and are very savvy in the ways of herd dynamics which makes teaching each, mother and daughter . . . a delight.
All who work on and visit the ranch truly enjoy Hanalei’s developing personality and spunk! She is becoming so much more than we could have ever hoped or dreamed of. Our little Hanalei truly is . . . our beautiful flower.
