There are many ways you can help. Such as…

Horse Sponsorship

The past experience of our horses gives them the ability to reach out to children in a unique way, making them what we call “equine counselors.” Sponsoring the care of one of our “equine counselors” enables CPYR to continue to offer a free program to all children that visit the ranch.

Sponsorship of a Child

All who attend the ranch receive our services free of charge. With members of the community supporting and sponsoring children, CPYR will be able to continue our free program. The funding from this sponsorship goes to continuous staff training, equine care (such as hoof, medical, and nutritional needs) and also property maintenance.

Grass Hay

CPYR is home to 25 to 30 horses. Each horse eats approximately 3 tons of hay per year. At $140 a ton, providing grass hay for our horses is an ongoing expense.

Property

Standing at less than 10 acres we are constantly evaluating our program in order to better serve the children and horses.

Staff Education

Continuing the education of our staff is essential to providing quality service to the children. Certain certifications are required of each staff member such as 1st Aid, HAS, and NARHA. Each organization differs in the length and the need for renewal of the certification.

Equipment

Various types of equipment are needed for the upkeep of our property and program.  We are always in need of tools such as rakes, plastic manure forks, shovels, Dewalt recharageable drills, pliers, hammers, and hand saws. In addition any carpentry tools, gardening tools and hay gathering tools would be a great help to the program.
