In the year 2000, a benevolent woman not only heard . . . but heeded . . . the call to step up and intervene for a needy soul that could not help himself. On the way home from her appointed mission of mercy, she towed behind her a young, fiercely colored Premarin Industry colt. After imprinting him with seven years of her love, their life together took an unexpected turn. She began to have strong impressions within her heart that her 'boy,' who had matured into a monstrous Clydesdale cross, was being readied for a calling beyond what she could provide. As if to add emphasis to her new stirrings, nearly at the same time, she began to develop a mysteriously strong allergic reaction to him and other animals in her life. It was not long after this time that she called Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch.
I knew that he was going to be big . . . but just how big didn’t really sink in until I watched him back out of the trailer. Even the dark shroud of a cold November night could not diminish the fact that he was a truly magnificent GIANT! Exhaling enormous clouds of frozen breath, the horse that stood towering over me was, to date, the largest horse to ever set foot upon our ranch. Staring up into his uniquely blue eyes, I was left to wonder . . . Lord, what is Your purpose for him here?
Although the answer to that initial question might not fully be answered for years, what I have already witnessed from him seems like a joyful herald for what is coming. Bozeman seems to know that his shear size draws people young and old, large and small to come and place there hands on him and look up with various exclamations of wonder. Each, he greets by smelling their face, neck and hair. Each, he welcomes to simply come and be his friend.
With his formal training underway, Bozeman is already showing that being painted bright colors, having birthday cake eaten off of his tabletop rump and wallowed by an adoring child is all OK with him. He loves his new life here . . . and we love our new life with him. We are all excited to see what he is to become.
Fun Fact: Bozeman has two light blue eyes, loves cake and Remnant is his best friend.
