Why do you feel called to Crystal Peaks?
For a while I had wanted to get involved in a ministry that I could pour my whole self into. When I read Hope Rising a few years ago I thought, “This is it! This is the ministry I've been looking for.” At the time, I didn’t think it would be possible to go to Oregon because I was living with my family in Pennsylvania. The Lord opened doors and abundantly provided for me to come and stay out here. The peace I have in being at Crystal Peaks is indescribable.
What a great God we serve!
Areas of ministry on the ranch (what you do on the ranch on a regular basis):
Each day at the ranch is different, but I usually do a combination of ranch maintenance, training horses and leading sessions with kids (and whatever else needs doing).
Favorite thing about CPYR or about being here:
There is a strong sense of family amongst the staff, volunteers and families who come here. I love being in that type of atmosphere. At CPYR you can really feel the love!
What do you do in your free time:
In my free time I do pretty much the same things that I do at work: Work, ride horses, run, rope, hang with friends. I love my job!
Favorite ice cream:
Vanilla, nothing fancy…just good ‘ol vanilla.
Likes (what do you like in life, food, movies, ect.):
I enjoy physical work; anything outside that makes me sweaty and dirty is fine by me. I like working with my hands on various projects. I also enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking and riding. I like Mexican food and a good strong cup of black coffee.
One unique/funny fact about yourself:
I love to work (I know…I’m a goober).
